Vice Governor Jing Junhai Met with American and Indian Ministers to China

On January 22, Jing Junhai, Vice Governor of Shaanxi, respectively met with American Minister Robert Goldberg and Indian Minister Mazumdar in Beijing, and exchanged views with them on the cooperation in economy, trade and culture. Those who were present included leaders from the Foreign Affairs Department, Commercial Department and the Convention Center of Shaanxi.

After the brief introduction of Shaanxi, Jing invited the two ministers and ambassadors to visit Shaanxi and lead their people in economic and cultural community to participate in the Investment & Trade Forum for Cooperation between East & West China so as to enhance the cooperation in economy, trade and culture with Shaanxi. Jing said that, in recent years, we made great achievements in cooperation in cultural tourism and energy development with the United States. As American well-known enterprises have invested in Shaanxi and made the preliminary progress, we welcomed more American enterprises to invest in Shaanxi. Jing also noted that as the two developing countries, China and India should enhance the mutual cooperation, make full use of own advantages and expand the exchanges and cooperation in the fields of software and service outsourcing.

Both Robert Goldberg and Mazumdar appreciated the invitation of Shaanxi. And they will organize businessmen with their chambers of commerce and relevant associations to visit Shaanxi and develop the cooperation with Shaanxi, and hold the China Shaanxi-America Investment and Trade Meeting in Beijing in March of 2010. In the same year, India will hold a series of activities in the cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation during the Investment & Trade Forum for Cooperation between East & West China.
