Hu Yue Meets With Minister of State in Charge of News and Liaison Affairs of Jordan

On the evening of April 14, Hu Yue, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the Propaganda Department of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, met with Nabil Sharif, minister of state in charge of news and liaison affairs of Jordan, and his fellows, in Xi’an.

Hu Yue firstly welcomed Sharif to visit Shaanxi on behalf of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, and gave a brief introduction to economic and social development situations of Shaanxi. He said that Shaanxi is one of the important provinces in west China. The province boasts long and splendid history, well-developed tourism industry, profound scientific education strengths, and obvious industrial advantages. In recent few years, economy of Shaanxi has maintained continuous and rapid growth, and the news and publication industry of Shaanxi also achieved long-footed progress. Hu Yue said that the people of China and Shaanxi have profound friendships. He hoped that the visit of Sharif could further enhance the understandings of Jordan people on Chinese culture and development of Shaanxi, expand the exchanges and cooperation of both sides in news publication and tourism service sectors, and promote the continuous development of friendships between people of the two countries.

Sharif extended thanks to hospitality of Shaanxi Province. He hoped that both sides could enhance the cultural exchange, visit and investigation by enhancing the cultural exchange, so as to create more opportunities for exchanges and cooperation in news and other sectors.

Liu Bin, deputy director general of the Propaganda Department of CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, and responsible persons of the Office for External Propaganda of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, were also present at the event.
